I was just curious if the new offerings from Phil and Lee at Bullgoose and Leesrazors are going to qualify ? One uses regular injectors and one uses the feather professional.
Exciting times ! Who would have thunk it ?

It's not my call but I'm guessing if they are single edge they would qualify like the Cobra.

Qualifies in my book. I'll be all over the injector blade version. Already announced to the wife as my birthday or Christmas present.

The injector one for me too. I always have at least a Goatee/circle beard. But most often a full beard trimmed thin.So the feather pro is just too big for me.

In my opinion they qualify as single edge razors. For some reason I'm not in the least bit excited to see a new injector razor hit the market. I can't quite figure out why, and they may very well be top flight performers, but I have zero interest in the idea.

I am just hopeful that they are successful enough with these that they may come up with a new razor that takes regular SE blades. Probably I'm just dreaming. But then I didn't see this one coming either!

There are those guys who will only buy new gear. We are certainly not in that group. There's some slight chance that successful single edge razors on the market might persuade blade makers to keep on producing and (gasp) perhaps innovating.
I was hesitant about buying a new production razor as well. I will say that I offered suggestions to Richard at Tradere Razors early on that he might offer a single edge head option in his product line. I was ignored, but it would have been an interesting addition to the crowd that likes that customized mix and match and swap of various stainless steel parts. If you look at the Facebook and forum reactions elsewhere, there is a lot of buzz by people who are excited that the HuntLee head and handle will be compatible with the current production and custom DE handles and heads.
So anyway, many vintage razor lovers may not get hooked by a new offering, but the interest of the general population of wet shavers might be a good thing all around.

Greetings
I am really curious about the new Huntlee razor but before I would even think of buying one I would need to read a whole lot of reviews saying that they were better than any of the superb shaving Schicks that I am presently using. I have little or no interest in the Model that will take the Feather Pro Blades because of the blade price, it is the standard injector model I am curious about.
These razors will have to reach a very high standard indeed to beat the Schicks and to a lesser degree the Pals, not least of all because there are so many models of these razors already in existence offering every degree of aggression and difference of 'face feel'. I, none the less welcome any new SE razor that appears on the market and hope one of you chaps buy one of them ASAP (when they are produced) and review it for the rest of us!
Regards Dick.

I do hope they succeed, and make a boatload of money in the process, but I simply have no interest in them. I also wouldn't get excited if they came out with a new single edge model. My fear is that they will be high priced like the Cobra, and not really offer any real advantages over a $10 vintage razor other than being new, without having a track record of how they will stand up over time.
I just shaved with a 1912 Damaskeene and a new Treet blade and honestly do not see how anything can perform any better.

I hope this is a great razor. If so, I would add it to my SE collection.
Variety is the spice of life as the saying goes. I got into SE shaving by getting a Cobra. This razor is still at the top of my list for comfort plus unmatched efficiency (the OCMM is efficient but for my face not comfortable). At the same time, I love shaving with my PIFed Gem lather catcher, Gem/ER 1912 style, Treet and a Schick model I. I still use straights, shavettes, and DEs. This may change over time but for now I enjoy the change. I will admit though that I am using SEs more than DEs these days and I want all of you to know that it's your fault!
I just purchased an Stoll LC in pretty good condition. I'll compare it to the Gem LC when I get it.

That is one reason I do not buy into the expensive new models of unmentionable razors. There is really nothing to improve on from the original. Why spend that extra ching???

I'm not planning on buying any modern injector simply because I don't like them anywhere near as much as razors that take a spine back blade. Without the resonant audio they just don't have a soul (not in a spiritual sense). I was able to use an adjustable injector over a year ago and it was like I was using something lifeless. Clearly they just aren't for me. The shave from it was great, but I get a great shave now from razors that are "alive" and that provide me feedback.
