I picked this Erskine up at the same antique store I got the white Rubberset at.The original knot really wasn't too bad, but it did shed some, so, out it came and in went an Ace Shaving boar. This isn't a real elegant looking brush, but it has great ergonomics and is a joy to use. Here's a few before shots: With the new knot and some cleaning: And, after three uses:

I'm with William on this one the style isn't working for me either. The brush does look a lot better after you worked your magic on it. It looks very rustic.

Thanks, and yeah, this one isn't a real show stopper, that's for sure, but, like nick said, it's a really comfortable little brush for daily use. And, I just couldn't leave it behind when I saw it was only $10.

Saw one of these in the wild last Sunday for 5 bucks. For some reason I don't think it had a different color base, but I could be wrong.
