I found this C-Mon 77-4 Deluxe at a large antique mall for $9.50. I believe these are fairly rare, when I tried to research it I only found a couple discussions about this company. Apparently C-Mon is short for Carl Monkhouse and the company he formed is more known for their straight razors. This thing is huge, and the original knot was so floppy when wet that it just drooped. The white ferrule had a brown tint to it, I guess from age, that I was able to remove most of with sanding and polishing with Meguiars Plastx. Anyway, here's a couple before shots: And here's the brush with it's new knot, a TGN 27 mm Omega boar with the bucket removed: Here's what it looks like after three uses. This is one outstanding brush, the 27 mm Omega whips up lather like there's no tomorrow, and it's very, very soft. I used it three straight days and finally had to force myself to pick something else, and I can't wait for it to come back up in the rotation.

Great job! It sure does shine now. What's the red bottom half made of?

Thanks, Alan. My photographic skills, or lack thereof, don't do this one justice. The bottom is hollow plastic, or something similar.

To give you an idea of the size of this bad boy here it is next to a "normal" size brush.

HT, it looks like it has one comfortable ergonomic handle. It reminds me of the Omega 10098 brush I used to own. This must be one of the nicest handle designs and color combinations I've seen in a long time. The height along with the handle design must make it a pleasure to use! Very beautiful brush I wish I had it!

Thanks again. At first I really thought it would be too big, but the Omega knot doesn't spread out like most badgers do so it maintains a relatively small footprint. I can't imagine what a similar sized badger knot would be like after it blooms.
