Greetings Tuesday 10th September 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Ever Ready 1924 Shovelhead Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon Brush: Shaving Factory Med. Boar Soap: Speick Cream & Speick Soap & Glycerine Überlather Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) A wonderful shave, billiard ball smooth! It is very rare I bowl lather and even rarer for me to faff about making überlather but the result today was top class. The ludicrously tall and floppy shaving factory brush is pretty useless for anything other than whipping up these concoctions and painting it on. Regards Dick.

Greetings Friday 13th September 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick J1 Injector Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue OC Soap: Wilkinson Sword Stick grated Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) A great injector shave, I much prefer this model to my J3 Golden 500 as the handle is an inch shorter. Regards Dick.

Greetings Saturday 14th September 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick Adjustable Blade: Schick Super Stainless Platinum NOS Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Soap: Scent From Heaven XS Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) An interesting shave, I was given this soap by a kind fellow member on another forum who did say there was something in it that did not agree with his skin. On the second pass my face felt on fire as if I had been stung by nettles. I stopped straight away and after several cold water rinses the sensation completely went away. I was able to complete the last pass using Lea Cream. I have no after effects at all. Interesting how two of us have had the same reaction, the only soap in the past that has had a similar (but lesser) effect is a Boots Shave stick. After all of that still a perfect finish! These NOS blades that came with this razor are very good indeed. Regards Dick.

Greetings Sunday 15th September 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick 66 Injector (G4) Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Vie Long Horse Soap: Tabac Stick grated Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) Superb shave. I seemed to have cured the 'doughnuting' of this brush (possibly only temporarily) by teasing out all the bent and twisted hairs in the centre of the knot with a bodkin. It would appear to me that these horse knots will not withstand any 'mashing' onto the skin and need to be used very gently, this together with the very stiff prickly hairs deep within the knot result in a less than perfect brush IMHO. Regards Dick.
