I got a PM from Tom (Hoosier Trooper) a while back asking for my address; he said he picked something up in a store that he thought I might like. He didn't say what it was but I figured he ran into some vintage soap and was sending me a puck. Well I got the package and was just about knocked over when I opened it. It contained the "Souped Up Ever Ready 100" that he restored some time ago with a note stating it now belonged to me. You can check the thread out and see it. I had made mention a couple of times how it was my favorite of all his restores. Apparently he didn't forget that. I had planned to try and build one myself but was having difficulty finding a handle. Believe me, if I did build one it wouldn't have come out like this. Tom's photos are high quality and show great detail, but do not do his work complete justice. Folks, this thing looks like it just came out of the box! The handle shines like crazy and the knot looks like it's been factory fitted. We've seen numerous pictures where he shows the lettering redone in gold paint. This one has that, once again, looks like it was done at the factory. I've already tried it and love it. It's the best brush I have and I will keep (and use) it always. A lot of effort from a friend went into making it. I would rather have this than a dozen $300.00 Silvertips. Thank you Tom.
What a great guy, what a great site!

Outstanding gift to a very generous person. Alan, for all that you have done for members here, a gift like this is justly deserved. Two thumbs up to Tom for his talent and generoisty. The people here is why I keep coming to this site. The best place in town.

Good deal!! I'm a huge fan of ER brushes. Just reinforces my notion that wet shavers are the best people in the world!

I'm really glad you like it Alan. You've given out a lot of great PIF's to a lot of people so you rightly deserved a little something in return.
