Greetings
I have just spent the last 45 minutes reloading 19 personna PTFE blades into an old all metal blade magazine/dispenser. I managed to break off the push/pull tab that pushes the blades into the razor, I thought it was my heavy handedness but on closer examination these part plastic magazines are thrown together with the thinnest of aluminium and soft plastic.
I tried my very hardest not to scrape the cutting edge of any of the blades along the magazine but I will not know for certain until I come to use each blade. These things are certainly designed for a one way process ie the blades to come out only and the magazine spring kept coming out of alignment. I also managed to nick a finger in the process but I accepted this as an inevitability from the very start.
I had read that these magazine/blade dispensers are fragile but this is the first real problem I have had with one and I hope the last.
Regards Dick.

Dick, I think many of us have had issues with the plastic magazines. I've tried to reload them into the metal mags and sometimes it works, other times I scrape the blade edge. Not sure but I think HT does this a lot with good success. My biggest problem with the plastic mags was that I had difficulty getting them to line up with the injectors I had, probably was me, maybe I should have been more patient. All those injector pictures recently posted in the SOTD have re-sparked my interest in injectors. I'm going to pick up a "J" type as I have never tried one. I'm also looking for a Streamline but I know that's going to be pricey.

Hi , Yeah my problem with the plastic loaders is line up. The structure is so soft that if one looks at it , it will twist out of line. The early 1950s' loaders are my faves. Built like a tank. No silly putty keys. Alan--good luck finding one.
