Ohh my....it's pieces like these...that seem to be a direct connection to someone right before WWII...Probably someone happy to cop that beautiful razor same as you... exactly how I feel and think about my razors. With these I like to think that in '41 a USAAF pilot just finished getting a great shave when the alarm sounds--Luftwaffe! Get in that P-51 and go blow nazis out of the sky. Some imagination huh? The Imperial with a name on the handle was from a coal mining company located outside, Terra Haute, Ind.,USA. This of course would have to match the Chrysler Imperial in the driveway. Thanks all and enjoy a great shave! ps--an interesting item of note. That is the difference in the E models. The 1941 has no raised ridge around the rivet and is constructed with 2 pieces at the rivet. The other Es' have 3 pieces. details, details, details,eh?

This is precisely why I like the vintage razors so much.
Very nice!

No doubt these vintage razors have a long history. Some of them might have passed through several owners. Fortunately, they were saved and we get to enjoy them today. I bet we tend to take care of them more so then the original owners (with many out there that are in bad shape).
Beautiful set Cbus! I know you are going to love them and chime in a review!

Every now and then when I'm getting a superb shave which is so characteristic of these special razors...or when I'm shaving and I glance in the mirror and catch an eyeful of just how lovely one of these functional works of art can be....I'm sure more than a few of their previous owners must have shared that same vibe...
