Hi, I use Pen's English Fern and blenheim bouquet. EF more Autumn/Winter scent while BB Spring/Summer. I want share these with you as I found them really classic scent with no hint of chemicals feeling like nowadays products. Is the only EdT I use now. My wife love it plus a lot people ask me about it at work or friends. I always buy them in their HQ London a truly magic store. Either way, how you can go wrong when even Winston Churchill use it! Anybody else like it and use it or maybe you find it just ok. Please share as I am interested.

I have always been intrigued by the Penhaligon products. Your description makes me want to try them more!
Have you tried the shaving soap?

The original formula English fern was arguably one of the best shaving soaps ever made. The scent was certainly not for everybody, but its performance was stunningly good. The new formula one is not quite as good, and therefore comparatively expensive. Too expensive for my personal taste. If you can hunt down one of the old ones (they list tallow as an ingredient), do get it.
Oh, and the Blenheim Bouquet shaving cream glass jar with silver plated lid is something to behold. Expensive, yes, but extremely well executed. The product is not half bad, either.

I just sold a puck of once used English Fern Tallow version. It was not for me sadly.

They are very clean fragrances, aren't they? Properly old-fashioned. I'm lucky to have an outlet of the shop in a neighbouring city where I can try out all the fragrances.
English Fern and Juniper Sling are a couple of favourites.
