Another one on the list struck off ...
I picked up a nice Ever Ready E-Bar from eBay. Yes, Exapno, it was the one just a touch under £20 and pretty good looking. Upon arrival, it has some crud around the back and some tarnish under the lid, but nothing my De-Solv-It Metal Cleaner couldn't deal with and my sink was spattered with small metallic bits and crud from a gentle scrub with a toothbrush. The lid is a little scratched, but on the whole after a polish with Peek it is very presentable.

I have two Gem Heavy Flat Top razors an early model and a late model. I wish I had an Ever-Ready E-bar. I have only rarely run across an E-bar in the gold finish. The E-bar/G-bar are built like tanks incredibly solid with good weight and a relatively mild shave. Enjoy your new razor Paul!

How's the shave? I have two, both boxed and never used, so I am reluctant to "taint" them, as it as. If they shave well I may be minded to try and pick up a used one for use.... decisions, decisions.....

Well, they appear similar in design to the Featherweight, a razor which frustrated me with its mild yet irritable shave ... but act nothing like that razor. The weight it nice and I think that carries through into the shave - I enjoyed it, placing it closer to the Micromatic Flying Wing than the Featherweight.
Nice, but not 1912 nice ...

[...] closer to the Micromatic Flying Wing than the Featherweight. Well, I was tempted by the pictures - I really like this razor's design. But courtesy of your warning above, I think I'll pass.
