For real, or have they just cut it down and re-milled the slots?

There is a short and long ornate handle. Can you give dimensions?
Possibly my favorite handle of all handles; both lengths. More lengths? I don't know. I bet HT would.

I would say that is original. Very nice looking handle.

I've seen the ornate handles with the shovelhead before, but I thought it was just mismatched. I's there a reference guide somewhere that shows what handle goes with the different heads?

Many different handles mate up with many different heads.
Waits Compendium is the only source of that info that I know of. Just google it to find an online source; it's an e-book and fantastic.

The short handle came in when the cigarette case style and then the small travel cases came into vogue beginning in the early 1920s. The small travel case started catching on so smaller razor handles became necessary for some presentations. This one was being sold on one of the shave sites:

I checked online and only located one site that currently has it for $18. Check here if you are interested. With all the information via users here and other boards, I'm debating on purchasing it. I don't mind paying the money, but part of the fun of this hobby is the interaction with other crazies! **Edit: I bought it anyway I figured, I'd have more to contribute!
