I arrived home to a reasonable haul of shiny metal this evening ... ... amongst which was what I believe is a GEM New De Luxe from 1924 (featured in the 1925 Catalogue) and pictured here with his Ever Ready counterpart, a razor which I believe is from the same period and might well have been part of a Wall Cabinet edition, or something around that era. Both are stamped with "Brooklyn, New York -- Made in USA" on the inside and both have curved heads. I also got a reasonable GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf (13 tooth): This one did not open properly and I noticed that the back of the head was bent, like it had been nipped up before it was properly closed before. Several swift taps with a pin hammer later and it's all straight again, opening and closing exactly as it should.
