I recently came upon two Damaskeenes with the same head, but different handles. I've read a few posts regarding the Damaskeenes with different handles, but they differ only on the OC version. Are the handles mismatched, or do they just give a better idea of when they were produced? On the back of both heads it says, "Gem Cutlery Co." But as you can see, on handle is part hollow and one completely solid. What say you? Here are a couple of pics...

Here's a shot of the four Damaskeenes I own that have different handles. The one on the far right has a hollow base like yours and, as you can see. the one one next to it is identical except it's solid. Both of those are marked GEM Safety Razor so they were made after the 1919 merger. My guess would be that yours with the partially hollow handle was made right around the end of the GEM Cutlery era when they were switching to that style handle, but that's only a guess.
