I saw in a manual for another rigid blade type, that flipping the blade on successive shaves would realign the edge each time, greatly prolonging the life of the blade. We all know this doesn't work for flexible DE blades, but with rigid SE blades it sounds quite plausible - basically the blade is stropped on your face and flipping the blade undoes the misalignment of the edge from the previous shave. This is definitely worth experimenting with... ...what do you think?

One would need very good microphotography to sort this out well enough, but it makes sense to flip a blade before the next use. Great thought!

Hey, I'm game.....any excuse to experiment ....lol! I'm going to try that face stropping tech with a carbon starting tomorrow...I usually get 3 great shaves with a carbon, I'm anxious to see how this plays out....But whatever happens, I know I'll enjoy the chase...
