I am not envious or anything like that I just, I just, ... I WANT IT! The blade, the case, the chain mail handle, the instructions and even the original box is included! Dios mio! Forget the Bostonian I'd sell a kidney for this ER creation. There is no way I'll ever find a Peerless and just when I thought that I had tamed my RAD it's back again.

Nice one Paul! Peerless in fact Those instructions make me wonder why the ER stropping machines are so rarely encountered. They must have made lots of them...

Haha! Joe ... you'll have to trawl British eBay just like have to scour US eBay That, or make a good friend on British shaving forums who'll keep an eye out for you ... Noted, I will keep my eyes open for you. MJC - I have two stroppers now. I was given one ... yeah, I know ... given, again, and the other came with the Bathroom Set. I'm putting this set well into the '50s. You tend to only see the stroppers in these '50s sets, be it the Streamline itself or the Bathroom Set - there'll be more. Perhaps the stroppers were just part and parcel of the kit, like you'd bob down to Boots and pick up some blades which would be situated next to a strop and stropper for new shavers. Who knows? My Dad comes up next to useless on the matter, bearded from his teens. He does shave now to keep a cleaner beard shape, but seriously missed the interesting era of shaving. Typical. But yes, it's a beauty ... What proper floats my boat about this is, it's the same era as the Featherweights, but it's so classic. This is soooo retro for its day.

... oh, and I love the reference to Anthrax. I mean, Dios Mio Were Ever Ready in the throws of terrorist mail threats, or what? Anthrax, indeed! What on earth?

... oh, and I love the reference to Anthrax. I mean, Dios Mio Were Ever Ready in the throws of terrorist mail threats, or what? Anthrax, indeed! What on earth? Horsehair fell out of favour due to a few anthrax related deaths from infected brushes, I think in the 1930s. There's threads on it on the net, honest!
