Yeah, the neck if we want call it that, seems to have what looks like a double bend....The Photo shot that is displaying the spring underside of the razor suggests to me that this would cause the spring to have less tension than intended.....

Count me in!! I recently aquired a beautiful G8....This one shaves more like my E2 than my I2....This G8 and my E2 are like 2 pass wonders...definitely aggressive but not out of control...My I type is very mild, but still effective, more like 4 passes to reach Nirvana...

G8 ROCKS.......also the G8 is my birth year injector...G8 knocks me out on many levels.....we're lucky to have so many cool birth year razors......I pity the really young cats........until I have to run up 4 or 5 flights of steps....ha, ha.......No, if I was a super young cat, I'd just pick my Dad or Grand Dads birth year razors.....I mean, hey....my Pop's birth year razor is the ER 1924......looks like I have a thing for my Dads birth year razor and Im not even a young cat.....LMAO ! Hold the presses....I see on the timeline they date the g-8 at around 1953....If thats the case, it misses my birth year as it made the scene the following year.....But I could have swarn I saw a Christmas Ad with a picture of the G8 from a magazine dated 1952 which would have made it in my Birth year...Now I can't find that ad...I did see a "Coins and More" ad for a G8 where they date it 1952, but I don't know if I can trust them... Soooo the question is....Have any of you guys seen anything that would date the G8s into 1952?
