s/my/my/g - shipping address, please. I have three which need replating. And no way is that fella going commercial without having undergone German QA and all that. Right?

Gorgeous, your razors are simply stunning. I know that some feel that re-plating a vintage razor devalues it but I don't share that opinion. Hopefully your friend will start re-plating in silver, gold, rose gold and rhodium.
There are razors that are also constructed with plastic parts, I wonder if this type of razor can be re-plated. My Shake Sharp has a built in metal hone which makes me wonder how this razor could be re-plated. You now have new immaculate razors!

Cheers, guys! I can't wait to get them back. I'll sneak off to a dark corner of the house cackling ... MY PRECIOUS! s/my/my/g - shipping address, please. I have three which need replating. And no way is that fella going commercial without having undergone German QA and all that. Right? I can ask him ... it's early days, so if he messes up or goes too far with the wet and dry, removing the lettering there's no come-back. I think you meant s/your/my/g tho'? Gorgeous, your razors are simply stunning. I know that some feel that re-plating a vintage razor devalues it but I don't share that opinion. Hopefully your friend will start re-plating in silver, gold, rose gold and rhodium. There are razors that are also constructed with plastic parts, I wonder if this type of razor can be re-plated. My Shake Sharp has a built in metal hone which makes me wonder how this razor could be re-plated. You now have new immaculate razors! I have asked about the plastic parts ... and other metals, as I have two nice Bullet Tips which have crusty handles, one plastic tipped. He's not sure ... I'm thinking of risking my c/rusty Star Featherweight to see what happens. The does disassemble where practicable, so if the hone is removable I think he'd do it that way. When I polish up a razor and it sparkles, even with a little brassing, I'm inclined to keep it that way. It's not like it's going to really increase in value, but if you buy a £5 1912 and get it shiny, you might double your money. With these, there was no real value in them ... only to a collector and purely for the purposes of completion. Replating would almost certainly get me more money if I sold them, but they won't be for sale ... they're MINE Wow. I have quite a few Gem Junior and Treet heads that need this. I'm sure when he's got the confidence to go "pro" at this, he'll do a great job with yours as he has mine.
