So I used a Raynox DCR-250 conversion lens on a Nikkor 18-140 mm tele lens. Lens is about 2 inches from this E-2
E-2 Script Tab real close

Right. So I had to convert to inches to something meaningful first, then get my glasses. I think the image is slightly blurred.
Oh. Wait. You exchanged the original image with one that is really crisp. Excellent stuff - that looks phantastic!

Blimey! That is close ... with that, you might be able to spot the date codes on a Gillette Trac-II I get the inches; metric is very odd to me, but curiously, fahrenheit is a mind-boggler ... there, I'll take the metric celcius.

I find it interesting that the finish on the tab looks so rough, I would assume that's due to the "crudeness" of the machinery back in the 30's compared to the manufacturing abilities of today.

Tom, I have always thought the same thing. I would imagine those archaic machines might not have been perfect. Some vintage razors might not be perfect due to the old manufacturing machines and not from abuse (IMO). Alan, beautiful picture. The image is so clean clear sharp. You can see the small rough spots on the razor. You have one powerful camera and it will come in handy for sure!
