Would someone be kind enough to walk me through the timeline for the various incarnations of the Damaskeene? I know that at different times there were differently worded inscriptions inside the frame as well as a truly open comb version, so what years for what editions? Here's mine, which Paul sent me a while back:

The original Damaskeene had a curved cover plate on the head and was made 1912 to 1919. After Gem merged with the American Safety Razor Company in 1919 the cover plate was made flat.
This later variant was made 1919 to 1920, when the Damaskeene was discontinued. Many shavers prefer the rounded cover plate.
Gem Cutlery was stamped on the earlier model, and Gem Safety Razor was stamped on the later model.
