I absolutely love this little generic no name cheap-o boar brush. I was doing the lather thing the other morning when the knot popped right out of the handle. I mean what the heck on minute a good lather going and the next thing I am trying to lather with a wood handle. I was not happy with that at all. I can probably find another one but this one has been a great lather monster. So with that thought in mind I looked and noticed there was nothing wrong with the knot . It had simply come lose from the handle. I mixed up a little two part epoxy and a little time with a small paint brush had it back together. I am letting it set up a few days but will be back giving it a go here soon.

Good thinking!
I wonder if superglue would have worked?
BTW, gear doesn't need to be expensive to be good. I have a few $.50 boar brushes from China and initially I didn't even buy any because of the price, I figured what can I get for $.50? I gotta tell you that these brushes are pretty darn good, and not just because they were inexpensive. They easily stand their own against my other boars. Now that I have the room it's back in my rotation.

That seems to be what most of the folks doing refurbs use.
