I like the softness of my Kent Infinity Silvertex but it's too springy and not as efficient as my Plisson and Pur Tech. So I scoured it on a 700 grit whetstone for 10 minutes and now the fibres have gone from Generation 3.5 to Generation X! This has genuinely made it into a softer and more efficient brush If you don't believe me, try it for yourself...

Noted! I have a 1000 grit. Mine actually has quite soft tips as I used it as my sole brush for near on a year. It's actually got "gel tips", like silvertip badgers.
