I know coolbus and several of you already know this...But I just had an Injector Patent Binge watching evening and I'm shocked...
This is only a part of it these two guys are incredible
Victor Octavius Rodrigues invented my favorite Schick Magazine Repeater, the Schick Simplified Automatic, or type C repeater... Victor went on to invent, the D, E's, F, G's, and H types...aswell as the Canadian E/G's
Leopold Kuhnl invented the modern injector blade dispenser, the I type and Hydro-matic lever, and the J, K, and L types...
whew....hard to believe that these two guys have rocked the shave world this much...It's like Scheuber and Richards all over again...
What else did they do?.....Any info you guys got on these cats would be interesting I'm sure...I want a Rodrigues & Kuhnl tee-shirt...

Digging up an old thread, but I just discovered one of my favourite Kuhnl patents: US2230462It's a patent for a magazine razor (blades in the handle) with the cool feature that the shaving head when swung from injecting position to shaving position ends up at a proper shaving angle. Leopold Kuhnl! You were one smart cookie! Of course they never made the razor, but it's a neat idea and I want one! What else did Kuhnl do? The Schick Adjustable of course! Leopold was issued his first patent in 1936 and when he died in 1983 at the age of 86 his occupation was still given as 'Consultant' for the 'Warner Lambert Company', the then owners of his patents. He pretty much worked for the same company all his working life. What did Rodrigues not invent? The H Type. As far as I can tell there is no patent for the H Type and boy have I looked and searched. (The patents inscribed on the H Type are for very different razors) I'm currently trying to add all injector patents by Kuhnl and Rodrigues. Yowzer RR....You come up with some really great Patent info....Victor and Leopold are legends in my Universe....I much prefer any of their progeny to any of the 'unmentionables" that are sell for 10xs as much....Of course their Repeater, the C type, Shick Simplified Automatic (I just love that name, aswell as that razor) has held their value rather well....and rightfully so!

We should have a tee shirt with crossed injector razors with one name on top and the other on the bottom. I'd wear it for sure and I hate tee shirts
