This morning when loading what I thought was a Schick Twin Blade from Japan. I found that it was a single blade in similar packaging to that of the Twin. It was also in a 10 blade dispenser, whereas the other modern Schicks are in a 7 Blade dispenser. See Photos below. Has anyone come across these blades before, and has any idea where they are manufactured, they do not seem to marketed in USA. Incidentally I used the Razor [ Schick Adjuster] loaded with the blade, and it was far superior to the shave when loaded with a Personna.

Hi All. Have received message from Fergie, that The Schick single injector blades I was enquiring about , are in fact made in Japan.
These means there are the following available modern injector blades - for Schick Compatible Razors.
1 Personna single made in USA 2 Schick single made in China 3 Schick single made in Japan 4 Schick Twin mase in Japan
I used the Japanese blade in a Schick Adjuster , and found it shaved well. Will try and compare the two modern single Schicks. The main drawback to the Japanes one`s is they are quite expensive , being around $ 15 for 10 , so they had better be worth it.
Has anybody tried them ?

I've used the Japanese twin blades, and found them to be quite good, easily the equal of vintage NOS Schick Twin blades. Unfortunately they cost nearly twice the going rate for NOS twin blades. I haven't tried the Japanese single blades, but now curiosity will probably compel me to do so. It pays to shop around. I have found several vendors, all based in Japan, and considerable variation in prices - although none are cheap. It takes about 10 days for a package to get from Japan to west coast USA. --Bob

I don't use Injectors too often and have been using the blades Pella sells out of California. I was aware of the Chinese blades but not the Japanese. I imagine the quality would be high so this is good news to me. Any idea if they are related to the folks at Feather? That would explain the high price.
