So what is your current travel set up. I am using this G3 set with Williams and a Omega travel boar and Aqua Velva in a plastic bottle.

I have a number of SE travel razors but to tell the truth I don't want to lose them should that ever happen. They're just too precious to me and I don't want to try to replace them. (I hang my head in shame) I have a DE Gillette travel razor that I got from my dad that I use with 2 shims to get decent results from it. I have too many synthetic brushes that can travel so I'd take one of them. I have natural fiber brushes that can travel, but for me synthetic has always said "travel brush" to me. They simply can't be hurt even if put away wet. Of course I'd take my software.

The strange thing is ... I don't travel. But I'm all set up to many times over. Old habits die hard I guess. I'd like to hear from folks who actually do travel and not from this old fart.

I used to be a road warrior, away from home 3 weeks out of every month. I still travel frequently, although these days it is mostly limited to weekend getaways. My usual setup is this Ever-Ready 1924 head fitted to a Merkur Travel Razor handle with a setscrew. While perfectly functional, the head is showing serious brassing, so I would not be too upset if I left this razor in a hotel or it was confiscated by a clueless TSA agent. It even all fits inside the little fake leather case. CVS drugstores are everywhere, allowing me to pick up some blades between the airport and my hotel. I bowl lather, so I carry a little plastic bowl and a puck of Arko. The Arko pucks are compact and pack easily, and Arko lathers well in hard water. Synthetic brushes are the only way to go for travel due to their quick drying time, so my travel brush is a L'Occitane Plisson in a Muhle travel case. My travel kit is rounded out with a couple of 2 oz plastic bottles filled with whatever aftershave I feel like carrying, usually Clubman and something else. Why two? I like to have a choice. If I'm not flying I have more options. I found these cases on eBay which appear to be genuine leather. While these are advertised as being for DE razors, the top part is a full 3 inches wide, providing more than enough room for one of the new Artist Club blade SE razors. Above is an Ikon El Jefe head fitted to a Maggard Razors MR1 handle. The case seems to protect the blade adequately. Since I typically get upwards of 20 shaves per blade, there is no reason to carry spares. I'll probably carry some anyway. Of course, I'm always looking for other travel options. I recently picked up this stainless steel travel handle from Maggard's. It is just over 2 inches long. Here it is mated with a satin finish General head. I haven't yet shaved with this setup, but I think it will work well. Now I just need to find a neat little case for it. --Bob

I've been using most recently my Schick Simplfied Automatic C3 repeater ( I love that name)....Yep, the mechanism works great on this, so I could carry blades in the handle..But I carry blades separate and run one through the loading mechanism whenever I change blades...It's too much fun not to...
Yep the head on the C3 turns in line with the body and the Gold cap fits over top, So I can carry in my shave kit and the blade edge is completely protected...Plus it's my favorite shaving injector..
I drop an Arko stick in a large prescription bottle and have another large pill bottle for a vintage Stag travel badger brush refurb from Gary Carrington...
Round out everything with two bottles, one of Clubman and one of AV Musk, for my favorite AS cocktail....and thats pretty much it for me...And when flying I alway check one bag, so no probs there.
But I have to add...I like your travel kit Fuzzy, I'm jealous...I've always REALLY dug that version of the Military issue 1912....If I had that set up, I'd probably use that...

I like to keep things simple. Hence an El Cheapo brush (Frank Shaving synthetic, best value for money in the synthetic world), some Meißner Tremonia beta test soap (Guajak wood and Bergamot with resins) won't become available until next summer (ie 2018), but is already the best shaving soap I own by far), and one of Paul's SEs. No need for an aftershave because the soap is rich enough. This picture was taken during a trip to Taiwan and Kuala Lumpur.

For me, my travel setup is a Schick Injector E, a shave stick (currently DR Harris), and a Muhle synthetic (Silvertip Fibre) brush

Fuzzy, you'll love synthetics. I thought I never would but I do. Just don't compare them to anything else; anymore than one would think that a boar or horse would be like a badger. Synthetics are their own type.
