Pastrami Hash and eggs....now yer talkin...That was popular in Turkey aswell...They call pastrami something different but it's the samething and they've been digging it since like the year 500....Seems some dishes are timeless....As long as you don't keep it in the fridge that long...lmao!!

And I thought I invented something! I swear it came straight out of my mind. I didn't know that the Turks came up with it first. But pastrami has been around for awhile so it comes as no surprise.
Yes, pastrami is just cured spicy meat so many cultures can make it. It can be any meat, probably even poultry.

Looks good! I've been wanting to make stew for some time, but there is too much lined up in the queue for as far ahead as I can see. Dang! That looks good!

Our traditional carnival food: Cozido à Portuguesa Cooked pork, chicken and veal meats with smoked sausages of various types and boiled potatoes, cabbages and rice. Not for the faint of heart! Hehe And dessert: creme brûlée with an expresso And a digestive: homemade moonshine hehe

Chicken gizzard is more of a small treat with a spicy sauce to eat accompanied with a nice cold beer.

On it! Is it difficult to source all the different meats? No, just a trip to any local butcher. The chicken though was given to my father in law by someone that raises them at home. Very different meat from the ones bought in butchers or super markets. We also have a traditional dish with chicken, chicken rice, that it’s made with the blood of the chicken. Also not for the faint of heart but delicious.
