I came across ↪this patent - an adjustable, single edge version of the folding ↪Bigelow-Parkin unmentionable razor. Complete with adapters for different types of SE and unmentionable blades. This razor has it all and it fits in the palm of your hand. I'm pretty sure those were never made, but I soooo want one!

The unmentionable version is one I wanted before. This version would be awesome to have. I am like you in that I wish they had made it!

I don't think I would want to shave with one but that's just me.
But it doesn't look to complicated and I would venture to say that a skilled machinist could make one if all the spec's were available.

I have shaved with the unmentionable version and it is really quite good. Not as scary as it looks. You lock your wrist and use the long handle between elbow and wrist. Unfortunately I'm not a skilled machinist.

Somebody must have a prototype at the very least. I'm gonna always check out any Bigelow I see now. I'm never gonna get out of the thrift shops now though. Sigh.

In that case, keep an eye out for ↪this Kampfe folding razor from 1886. That wasn't produced either

That is a lovely looking piece of machinery that. As links to the patent www.razors.click/patents/US354196/patent/ don't seem to work at the moment... here is the same razor in its unfolded shaving position:
