Personally I can't figure it out. You push the top of the can and stuff squirts out.

Would you like one? PM me your address. I'll even throw in stick of Arko. Both can be had for about $1.00 USD and work soooooooo much better than any can of goo. I like the performance of Barbasol more than Arko personally. Dries me out less. YMMV. And yeah I'll try a puck of Williams. Thanks!!! Hey cannonshaves if you want me to send you a cake of Williams I need your address. I went to the Post Office but they said they didn't know what your address was.

This may be heresy, but this last week or so, I have been FORCED to use the edge gel. To be honest, the edge gel isn't really all that bad, it does provide good slickness, and protection. Just isn't quite as much fun. The Barbasol cream though does seem to be thicker than the edge. Has anyone tried the actual nivea shave cream out of the can? I have the aftershave balm, and it's good stuff.
The Gillette foamy is readily available, may have to check it out. I only use the Barbasol with aloe, I believe it is the green label. Anyone else use the other kinds of Barbasol.

Before discovering shave soap and real razors I used Edge gel. I had no complaints with it; for goop it was pretty good. I think I've used it once since. I took it along on a trip. I don't remember ir being terrible. Yup, not as much fun and no whisker prep involved with it.

When traveling or when short of time I use canned foam with my Injectors J or L, with excellent results. After trying various Barbasol, I decided that my favourites are the Original and the Arctic Chill (thanks to birdlives for pointing out how good it is). Another fav of mine is the Proraso Shea Butter in the yellow can.
