Thanks to poppi I got this beauty on today. When I saw the first pictures I really wanted it because of the wood handle. I thought it was like the 1913 I picked up awhile back. Come to find out it is different. This one does not have the ER in the grill work on the head. (best name I know for it). It also had more ornate scroll work on the back. This includes the outline of the Ever Ready shave man. I have not gotten around to research yet but I wanted to post some pics. I am looking forward to a shave with this one.

Do I recognize that razor? If so, let me know how it shaves. I never used it.

Very nice. Do you have any idea what year that came out? Not yet Tom. I have not started looking in to it. I think it is earlier then the 1912-14 that I have. I will be working on the dating here soon. I just had to run it around the block so to speak. A quick cleaning and I popped in a fresh PAL. WOW what a shave. Do not let the small handle put you off. This thing is a shaving machine. Top notch shave in 2 passes. I did the witch hazel touch up just because it is part of my routine. This one already has a spot in the holder on the vanity.

I am leaning for 1907ish. Maybe someone with the Waits book will chime in. I am not sure why I have not bought a down load of that.

You know they sell a hard copy of that book as well, right? I looked for the digital copy and could not find it.

As you can see from the photo I believe your razor is in the bottom row, center. This photo I added just because. It shows a Ever-Ready on the left and a Gem Junior

There it is..... Thanks riverrun. I gotta stop being so cheap about that. The download is 15 bucks and in color, the dead wood book is in B&W (I think) and more expensive. The download is a searchable PDF - you search for the name of a razor and it (almost) gets you to the right page straight away. I've had more than $15 worth of fun with this book. Buy it! I had no problems downloading the book after purchasing it from the above site, other people had problems - just saying... WARNING: Wait's compendium contains a lot of distressing images and text referring to unmentionable razors.
