Today was the first shave with this razor. It was outstanding. The old thing handled like a sports car. I would compare it to a baton handle treet...only better. The angle was not harder to get either. As I posted elsewhere I am a bit conflicted on this one. I am usually against swapping handles and such on the old razors. Kind of like molesting the Williams Mug Soap. In this case Jim aka jayaruh turned a handle by hand. It is a very nice piece of work. I think I will just have to be ok with this one. Kinda fell in love with it. Here is a picture of it beside my 1910 with original wood handle.

It would be just "wrong" to not go with that new handle....that new set-up is "Artistry In Motion" (To quote Stan Kenton)

Arrgh! I wish I could get a good shave out of them! I've tried at least 2 so far and each has been far too mild for me. It's got to be me. Other folks, such as yourself, get great shaves with them.

I wish you could too. I just plain feel bad for folks that can not enjoy a LC shave. I find them top class. It is a Gem Junior. As a matter of fact they both look very much alike except for the name on the back of the razor. That is normal. The Gem and ER's look a lot a like at times too. I find they shave alike too. How about yours? Similar shaves from the two?

I too find them very mild. It is not just you. I get just ok shaves. The cool factor keeps mine around.

Fuzzy, I can use LCs, just not the Gem Jr. Bar*. It's only that one LC that is my nemesis; that I've found so far anyway.
*That was a GEM Jr. Bar, yes?
