Was at the local Target today, shopping for a birthday card for momma, and had to go down the shaving isle. Well, I noticed the sandalwood Cremo, so I decided to get some. It was on clearence, as well as all the Van Der Hagen sets. Not sure why, but I bought 3 tubs of the soap, and only spent 12 bucks... Night wanna check out your local target if you like Cremo sandalwood.

It was the ones in the orange box. Just the sets though, the razor and the blades were still normal priced.

So I pulled out one of my unmentionables tonight, since I'm saving my 1912 ever ready for my Sunday shave. The cream smells a bit off to me, maybe I just need a chance to warm up to it, but just a stifled kind of smell. It was VERY slick, and actually felt better than some others, but the lather was sub par. It really shouldn't be hard to make a lather however. After using tobs, derby cream, and old Spice creams, I would expect this stuff to lather just as easily as they do. However after showing a good lather, it quickly disappointed. It was still there, and still provided protection, but just felt like it broke down too quickly.
I did use the Bevel shave brush that I went back and got. Very soft out of the box, and no hairs came up missing the first time. I also smelled no discernable odor either.... Time will tell on both these products.

Sevetal of the brushless creams make lather ok with a brush. Kiss my Face comes go mind. Check the label on the Cremo and see how it is suppose to be applied if you get the chance. I am curious.

That's the first thing I did before i bought it. The label said to apply using a brush. I'm curious if my technique was just a bit off.... I'm chalking the first one up to me, I'll try again, and if I have the same results I'll update. I did however notice, the scent really did seem to linger quite a bit longer than the prorasso did.

I use after shave so the svrnt lingering is nothing for me. I bet you nail it next time!!

Cremo was a disappointment to me. It does not lather and it tends to clog your razor. It doesn't rinse well with cold water. I piffed my first tube (original), and I will probably pif my Cremo Cooling. I guess some like it. I do not.

I will give it another go, just to make sure. I always like to at least try a couple of times.... I had just worked a 70 hour week, so exhaustion could have been partly to blame...
