I'm an avid reader, have been for many years. It just seems to be natural to me. My folks instilled a love of literature in me at a young age... So I thought I'd see of anyone would like to join me in this thread. I am currently working my way through the Autobiography of Louis L'Amour. The tile is "education of a wandering man" It is a great read. Let's hear what yall are reading, I'm always looking for suggestions!

But when I take a break from that I am rereading Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Do you read alot of Tom Clancy? I've tried, but just can't get into his style? Do you like any Clive clussler, or W.E.B. Griffin? Being a former Jarhead, I like Griffins series on "the Corps" Lemme know, and I'll see if I can send ya some new reading material.

I got through the captains I think. The Korean War. Love Cussler too. I constantly reread Clancy. A favorite. I just finished rereading all the original Sherlock Holmes stories too.

I really like and have read all of Dan Browns books. I have also read some of Clive Cussler books. My father-in-law & I pass his books back and forth. Though I really don't have time to read any more.

At the moment I am reading "Foundation" by Peter Ackroyd,a history of England from the Iron Age to the rule of the rule of the Tudor kings. And I jump to "Death in the Silent Places" by Peter Hathaway Capstick, accounts of big game hunters in Africa in late 19th century and early 20th. Being a Jarhead Ordinaryshaver you may enjoy two things I recently finished.
Both are by a fellow Jarhead who served in Nam,Karl Marlantes. The non fiction title is "What it is Like to Go to War" and his novel "Matterhorn:A Novel of the Vietnam War", both are good reads.

These will be next up in the picture. wchnu if you want this Cussler let me know. I have already read it 3 times before. I have most of my Louis L'amour books in storage right now. As you can tell, I love westerns!!! I have read most of Zane Grey, with my all time favorite novel of his being "Riders of the Purple Sage" and in a close second would be "30,00 on the Hoof"! I also enjoy John Grisham, he is a southerner like me, and I am sucked into his writing style. I will at times, have 2 or 3 different books going at one time. My grandparents used to keep a pile of novels on the table, and when sat down to eat dinner, we would all be there eating and reading, so I suppose it comes natural. wchnu, I would like to read those, they sound interesting as well as the Albert Broccoli novels on "James Bond" Petrvs, my friend, what is that one about? The title is very catchy. Attachments:
