This just in from twhite! Got her all cleaned up this morning and waited to this evening to give her a go! It had an old blade that I removed with the mechanism of the repeater. Nice! All set to go! Lathered up with some Proraso green on the ol' noggin' with my Angel knot brush and went to town. At first, I wasn't noticing any cutting action. I thought, "Well this is strange..." After a few attempts of different angles and such, I popped in a new Schick blade by hand and as I was watching the old blade come out, I noticed the sharp side was in the opposite direction. Whoops. No biggie. After the shave, which went great, it was time to get familiar with the mechanisms of the razor. Yep. After removing the loading cartridge, the blades were not in correlation to the right position. Oh well, it happens. So I loaded it with some of the removing Schick blades I had on hand and got the razor back together. In the spirit of getting familiar with the razor, I feel confident that I can load blades and maintenance this wonderful piece from time past!

Nice razor! The repeaters require a really shallow angle with the handle close to 90° from your face. Once you get that figured out these are interesting razors to use. I could be wing, but didn't think you could load modern blades into the magazine though.

Whether you should is a somewhat controversial subject due to modern blades not being same spec as the originals. I don't take any chances as I've learned that jammed blades are really a bitch to remove from the repeaters.

The angle was easy to find once the blade was in. It's really cool to see the old instructions. I like the Repeaters' weight compared to the G I own.

I agree....The only repeater I have shaving experience with is a C-3 type....But I L-O-V-E that Schick Simplified Automatic with all my whiskers!!! What a work of Art!
