A member across the street made a post about an Ebay find he made. It was a unmentionable razor and tube of shave cream that would have come from a Mechanicals Servants vending machine. Looking at it I noticed it was Williams shave cream in a trial size tube. I bought 5. After paying for them it was pointed out the cream was brushless. Grrrrrrr. Well some brushless creams will lather. The Williams will not. It is Williams though and I am still ok with it. Tonight I put it to the test with a 1910 Jr. Bar. It is nowhere near the fun a brush is...but it did give a good shave. The scent was nice too. Certaintly not anything I would get into often...but fun . The cream was thin and it was hard to see where you had already shaved. There was plenty of slickness though. I was not irritated at all. There was just the normal sting of the after shave. Here is a video of the shave.

For me it reminded me of my experiments shaving with hair conditioner. Ok in an emergency but not at all pleasant. The hair conditioner smelled better.

I was ok with the smell. It was even slick enough, but like you said I would have to be up against a big hard wall.
