I know this has been talked to death. So here we go again. I think I am past the point of being excited about trying different razors. I now mainly look to get examples that are in really nice and cased. If I had to have one setup. It would be my ER 1909 and all Tabac products. As for my brush it is much harder. I love the feel of my Boars. However my Rubberset with a synthetic knot can make the perfect lather for me. Blade wise it is not e en close. A carbon Gem is it. The old blades sharpened up give a good shave, but are too hard to come by and are a pain to maintain. Anyhow , here is my setup.

I will find a pic. I have my signatire shave. Williams Aqua Velva ice blue and my favorite 1912. A carbon steel blade is a must. As for the brush it gets tougher. I still say a boar. Even though I love my synthetics. The JR 176/omega boar, the B-400 by Tom/omega boar and the Semogue 1305 all are up there. I guess I would just randomly grab one.

Funny as I really never gave a lot of thought on brushes early on. I thought a brush was a brush. That is totally wrong. Brushes are by far the most perplexing item in my den. I love the feel of my Boars by a mile. The synthetics are the easiest to dial in a great lather. My Badgers are in-between those. My head hurts now😁

I have no "one" setup really. I have 30 some odd brushes and I start by shifting all of the brushes toward the right side of the shelf. From those I use the left most one and after the shave I move it to the left side of the shelf. I like far too many of the brushes to be able to pick a favorite.
For soap and AS splash I've been using my products exclusively for years now. In cold weather I prefer the bay rum, and in warm weather the Frostbite. I have a cabinet full of soaps, some very expensive, and they simply aren't used.
I use exclusively GEM SS ptfe blades.
My favorite razor has to be the ER'24 for blades that have been broken in. To break blades in I like the GEM '24.
For shave towels I've used microfiber chamois from the automotive store for years now. I think they are 14"x 14". When required to carry a lot of water they do. But wring it out and it soaks up water and dries a face in a heartbeat. They also last forever.

I have yet to try an ER 1909 though.

Most folks probably didn't know what to make of it...};^D I've tried it....that 1909 is unsurpassed...ER had a perfect design, but I'm afraid it was a bit ahead of it's time to really catch on in 1909!

It looks very similar to the Ever Ready 1924 to me.
