First go with Summer Break Soaps in the Brain Break scent. If you want the short story, I like most of what I experienced but disliked a couple of aspects. As a high school math teacher I really appreciate that this is a teacher ran business, I tip the hat that I never wear to these folks. Although I don't believe grades are the best measurement is student success, I think they work for soaps, so let's grade this soap in a few classes. These classes are as follows: ease of lathering, slickness, scent, and post shave feel. Ease of Lathering: A for certain, had no issues getting a great lather going by face lathering in a matter of seconds. Not a super thirsty soap which I like. Just a few dips of the brush tips in the sink and I was good. Slickness: A. Plenty of slickness here to do whatever kind of shave you do, not usually an issue with most artisans these days. Scent: Off the puck it's an A for sure, even said to myself this is my new favorite lavender scent. With main notes of lavender, vanilla, and peppermint. You get them in that exact order, calming lavender, subtly sweet vanilla, and just a slight peppermint kick at the end. When lathered I had to take points off the scent category. When lathered I give it a C+. When lathered the peppermint took over and I could barely detect the vanilla and lavender anymore, which was disappointing to me. Maybe there needs to be less peppermint so that it can come out when lettered without killing the rest of the scent. And the scent stuff is completely subjective obviously. Now to Post Shave Feel: I give it a C. It passes, but it didn't blow my away. It did not dry me out at all, but it also didn't add much to the experience either. Nothing to really complain about, but it can be better that's for sure.
