Good luck on the K'Kabinett! I'm curious to know how you guys like it. It was far too potent for my nose straight out of the wrapper, but I shredded mine and am aging it. I used a shred this past weekend after 15 days (?) of aging and it's much better. My plan is to try a shred every weekend until I decide it's aged enough. Last weekend it was MUCH better, but still not quite ready for me. The preformance otherwise is quite good. I know what you mean when a scent is too potent for you. I have typically struggled with what I would term 'chemical' scents. I find that Taylor of Old Bond street scents are waaaaay to strong for me. I picked up a sandalwood - one of my favorite scents when it is just oil - but the TOBS was too hard to take. If there was real sandalwood in there, they enhanced it with some sort of chemicals or something. I just couldn't take it. I found their lavender too was just not something I could take. I gave em both away - and I am pretty cheap at heart - so that is saying a lot!! Scents are best when they mirror their natural sources. Rose should smell like roses, sandalwood should smell like the oil, lavender should smell like the flowers. When they don't, I find them hard to take.
