Does a modified GEM blade fit it? Yes it will. I put a few feather SE blades aside for mine, but a GEM can easily be made to work.

I have a small sample of these and also the Gillette and Ever Ready equivalents. There is a Souplex that is quite nice - and I just missed on eBay that went pretty cheap - and this line of blade cutters are pretty sweet really! I have one I can't find that had all the nickel plating worn off - it was pretty much brass. There had been the tiniest bit of plating but I rubbed off most of it. It was my 'beater'. I love that dang little knife. But, I can't find it - not for quite a while now. I am such a horder though. I have at least three other ones - and they are not all minty but merely good to fine. So, I have to break down and pick a plated one and start using it - cuz I miss having one of these handy little razors with me. And oh yeah baby - I call it a razor!!!! : )

Does a modified GEM blade fit it? Yeah SD they work great. I have heaps of used ones as I imagine many of us do!! Just pop the spine off (the best way I have seen is a more recent idea of 'squeezing' the back of the spine with pliers and it will pop off really easy with no damage to the blade. You don't even hold the blade or anything with pliers so you can't make a dent or scratch). Keep your eyes peeled for one. They are lurking around collectibles stores for sure.
