I am starting this thread on the suggestion of birdlives , a real SE gentleman. We can use this thread for all things Repeating Razor. Show us your A, B, and C. Types. Schick Repeating Razor - Type C3
A friend from The Shave Den (Mark) and I made a trade back in December of 2015. We met in Asheville, NC, and had a nice visit as we made a trade: my Jayaruh #8 badger brush for his Schick Type C razor. The razor was made from 1933 to 1941. Schick "injector" style razors were modeled after semi-automatic rifles from WWI. Col. Jacob Schick was fascinated with the idea of never touching the blade for loading / unloading. This is a picture of the razor before we met. Here it is in travel mode. Here I am getting ready to load a blade in the magazine located at the bottom. I am going to use a Personna blade. You can see where I have laid the blade in the bottom of the magazine. I am inserting the magazine with the blade in the end of the razor. There is a spring on the inside that will push the blade to the top so it can be injected. After closing the end, I pull back on the "injector" getting ready to push the blade into the head. Here you can see the blade emerge and enter the head. Here is the blade fully loaded. Here I rotated the head 90 degrees to put it in the ready to shave mode. My razor has a scratch along the spring, but that does not affect the quality of the shave.

My Schick Simplified Automatic Repeater...}8^)) Has become my designated "Desert Island" razor... Now because of the importance of the 'magazine' part to keep this system operating... If any of you cats have an extra blade magazine...or an old magazine pack that you would be willing to part with....Please let me know.... My C3 is the Brightest Star in my Blue Shave Cave....

Great thread. I love my repeater. Unfortunately it didn't come with a magazine. Great pieces of working history.

Only guys with clever names can be geniuses Probably the original name of the Portuguese/Brasilian genius was Octávio and then it was "americanised" to Octavious. Long live Octávios
