Great shave before day shift today. 1910 GEM Jr. Bar with jayaruh handle Treet D-2 JR 176/Omega 98 Boar Colgate Cup Soap WH Old Spice If you have not tried any of the vintage Colgate you should hunt some down. Any of the three types are great. There is the mug,cup and barbershop soaps. I can not tell any difference between them. This handle is just nice!! Really so?id work from Jim and it matches the color of my JR 176. Quite a nice set. I'm shaving with Colgate Mug Soap this week. Thanks for the soap, wchnu, I likey. Glad you like the handle.

It gives good performance and leaves my skin feeling good. So I'm feeling great 'n' smooth.

I take it you will reserve the VC4 for special occasions. The Blane cost is a bit concerning. I love my early Valets. Very under appreciated razors in my opinion. I prefer being able to load a GEM CS Blade. Good for 5 great shaves. I will however be on the hunt for a VC4. I need to try them out.

SE Sunday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Colgate Shaving Mug Soap Jayaruh #144 Badger Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor Darwin Hollow Ground CWR Thayer's Lemon WH English Leather I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 badger brush. I did two passes with the Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor with a Darwin Hollow Ground blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I shaved with the razor without any honing. I found it a little tuggy, but I got a great shave with no further issues. I went ahead and ran the blade through the hone and then the strop. I did the second blade as well. We shall see if tomorrow's shave is any smoother. It is a very cool razor. Thanks again twhite for the opportunity to try it out.

First go with Coat's cream. Scent was a very powdery lavender, it is subtle and quite nice. Face lathering was easy and produced a creamy and slick lather though not as thick as some of the top artisan soaps around today. In the end I enjoyed the experience. Post shave was good too as it didn't dry me out. Ended up finishing it off with Taum Sauk by @chatillonlux
