I must be going mad. I just bought 16 NOS Schick Twin blades: $36 for the lot... ...plus $25 postage and import charges. $61 total, that's $3.80 per blade. I hope they are as good as the ones I already have. Luckily I'm not into this wet shaving business to save money. It could have been worse - there's another auction where they are asking $25 for two blades (plus $22 shipping etc)

Wow!! Hope that works out. How many shaves a blade do you get? (I am pretty sure you have a spread sheet for that)

... also they seem to last longest in the Hussy. 12 shaves minimum so far. So I should get at least 200 shaves with my favourite razor out of them. I got an email alert from eBay this morning, had a quick laugh at the price with shipping and charges, then checked my current stock (5 blades left), then did some mental arithmetic, then pulled the trigger.

So, if an average blade lasts between 6 and 21 shaves, let's call that an average of 14 to make the math easy. That means your shaving hobby costs you $3.80 in blades for TWO WEEKS of enjoyable shaves! That's a cheap pleasure by anybody's standard.
Some people spend $3.80 on a cup of rot gut Starbucks coffee. (My apologies to the folks that love Starbucks). :-).

A bit of hand grinding involved though.

The first use of the NOS Twin blades today. First I tried to get one into the Hussy, but failed. The knob on the injector finger seems a bit bigger than on other magazines (2.2mm instead of 2mm). I might have managed, but there is no way I can risk damaging the Hussy. I need to revisit this. So tried my Schick N3 and the blade went in without a problem. And what a shave it was! I think I have 16 good ones. I'm now stuck with the N3 for a while, but that's not a bad thing...
