Well everyone,
As you all may recall I was very up in the air about my two Ever Ready razors, many of you passed along some great advice and so even though I did trade off the 1912 for an unmentionable that I really wanted, I continued to play around with the '24 shovel head. So I'm now at the point where I am much more comfortable with this type of razor.
Now I'm not going to wax lyrical about this type of SE razor, I can see and understand why those of you that hold these beasts dear do so. That being said I now will hang on to this razor for those times when I want to do something different. As for picking a favorite SE razor I can't say enough about my Schick G4 injector, it (in my mind at least) has much to praise. It is a great achievement in terms of simplicity and efficiency, on top of it's fine styling the key system of loading blades brings a certain zing to the whole process.
As to the Ever Ready, character keeps me interested (it's an almost an 100 year old device), and one can only imagine all the events, all those men from the past whose hands it past through.
So even though it isn't my favorite I'll keep using it from time to time, just for kicks.
BTW fuzzy here in FL it is always Wabbit Season as wabbits are viewed as a nuisance animal, as are feral pigs. So there is no bag limit or set season!
Best regards
Joe Nobles

It doesnt have to work for everyone, it just has to work for you. Have you tried a GEM Damanskee yet? If not they are a great razor, and one that I believe to be almost the perfect match of aggresivness and ease of use. Keep using the Schick and I know there are a great number of fans out there for them. As one of our favorite sayings goes here. YMMV, meaning Your Mileage May Vary. That applies to everything, except blooming for soaps. If you dont bloom soaps, you dont know what you are missing. But seriously though, Im glad you found something that you like and something that is giving you great shaves. Perhaps we can include some history and different models in an upcoming video over on the channel youtube page.

janobles2002 that is a pretty part of the state. I like it between Ocala and the GA border. If you want to try out a Gem Damanskee, I would be happy to send you one. If you like it, great, if not, no big deal. Just let me know. Have a good evening.

The Damaskeene razor is a fine piece of shaving gear. I have the regular Damaskeene, an OC Damaskeene, and now a Frankenskeene. It took me a few years to finally get my Damaskeene and now I have three.

This part of Florida is very scenic, but on the whole I am not enamored with Florida. I came here in 2006 because my Mother-in-law had become a widow in 2001 and my wife felt that we should be close to her due to her age and low level of self-sufficiency. Home is the Philly Metro area. I lived in the suburbs of Philly on the Jersey side of the Delaware River, 15 min. drive from Down Town.
I grew up in that area in the Philly suburbs on the Pennsy side, down in Delaware County to the City's south-west.
My Mom, Brother and Sister are all still there as are all my childhood friends, so I miss being in that area very badly.
We (meaning my wife, son, daughter and son-in-law) are in the early stages of planning the move back, as my Mother-in-law is remarrying later this month.
Any way I've got to go to bed, long day tomorrow.
