Wed 4th July Vulfix 404 mixed Vitos super Red Supply SE V1 + V2 No3 plate Schick Proline [ 7] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion From the off I had problems with the Supply V1, initially could not get the angle right, and then found even on A plate 3 I could barely get a decent Shave. Because I liked its feel and looks I persevered and got hold of a revised No3 plate. Am now a few Shaves in and with the modified plate there is a nice degree of blade feel and I can get decent Shaves. In fact today with a great Vitos lather I had probably my best Shave with the Supply so far, smooth comfortable with a super close all round finish.

Thursday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream Jayaruh #284 Synthetic English Ever-Ready SE Razor GEM CS SE CWR Thayers Peach WH PSC Caffeinated AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Semogue SOC brush. I did two passes with the English Ever-Ready SE Razor with a GEM CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thur 5th July RazoRock Syn. 22mm Cyril salters Solid Soap Alu. Hawk + S/S Handle Schick Proline [ 1 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion I have a preference for heavier Razors than the Hawk, but find its handling and balance is improved for me by the addition of the S/S handle from my Claymore. My last shave with it was poor, but I think the blade was past its best. Today with a fresh blade, by avoiding the use of pressure I had a really pleasant shave, and was rewarded with a close all round finish.

Adjustable Friday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream Jayaruh #284 Synthetic Schick M2 Adjustable on 5 Vintage ER Injector (PAL) CWR Thayers Peach WH PSC Caffeinated AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #284 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Schick M2 Adjustable Razor on 5 with an ER Injector blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I finally discovered that the blade is a Pal injector blade made in Britain by Ever-Ready Razor Products in the 1950s. My expectations were low based on others experience, but I was not disappointed. It was a fine shave indeed. In fact, I could have quit after one pass, but I did two and ended up with a very close and comfortable shave.

Schick M1 Adjustable razor Personna 74 blade WD Silver Tip brush Williams SS (modern) Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Pinaud Clubman A/S
Another nice Williams lather, think I found my mojo with it again. I have to say that, for me, Silver Tips work best with Williams. At any rate, a nice shave and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: EJ Medium BB Cream: T&H West Indian Limes (sample) Razor: Gem MMFW Blade: Gem Stainless ptfe Post: Cold water rinse, West Indian Limes ASB (sample) I fancied a nice zingy lime to cap off this very sunny week and remembered I have a couple of samples. The cream is quite a dark lime scent and there's an ointment like background to it, not unpleasant but also not something I'd go and buy. The performance on the other hand is pretty good. I do like the balm though and might be checking it out in the near future. Happy Shaving one and all.
