Sat 7th July Omega 11126 OSP Bay Rum Schick J3, Golden 500- No2 Schick Proline [ 1 ] Alcolado Glacial After yesterdays Shave with a J3/Japanese Schick I decided see hoe my other one would fare using a Proline Blade. Today the Shave was much smoother and the finish quality especially around the neck much better. To see how the blades truly compare I shall use the back to back in future rotations.

Sunday's SE ShaveProraso Pre Shave PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream Jayaruh #284 Synthetic Gem 1907 Lather Catcher Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Thayers Peach WH PSC Caffeinated AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #284 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1907 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

There were seven of these blades that came with my Gem Junior lather catcher (1907). They are stropping blades. I use the stropping handle to strop the blade before and after each shave. Tom White put an edge on them way back when I first got the razor. They are holding up very well. Attachments:

Sunday Shave-9th July Omega 11137 Lea Classic soap Schick Type F Schick S/S Single - Japan [ 12 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion As not needing to be out too early this morning I had the opportunity for a leisurely Shave. So I chose the Type F which works best for me when I do not rush, then I am assured a really satisfying comfortable and close Shave. I am very glad today that I will be working from a covered Stand, and not like last week being out in the open for 6hours +, we in UK are not used to the heat.
