Pre: Cold water face wash, Brush: Omega 11137 Boar Soap: CRSW Bergamot & Bay Razor: E-R 1914 Blade: Gem PTFE Post: Cold water rinse, Benjamin's Mentholated ASL (sample)
My third different Benjamin's sample and my least favourite of the three, although I do like them all. The Pimento is the one for me, and if I buy a Benjamin's that will be the one. Happy Shaving one and all.

8/6/18 - Monday night shave 8/7/18 - Tuesday night shave. I used my Rare SCHICK TYPE L with a Purple handle - also this Type L was advertised and marketed for the dames - but its the same as the mans razor - just a purple handle. Used a twin blade which really makes the Type L efficient. The Twin Blade is also Rare - it is made in the USA but was sold in Canada - I think its from the mid 80's judging from the package and the cardboard is not yellow. This was shave # 1 & 2 - so this new blade was just outstanding. I'm in awe! Excellent post / setup!

Wed 8th Aug RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Spitfire ER 1914 [ 12 tooth ] Gem S/S [ 2 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion It is after a Shave such as todays that I wonder why on earth I have strayed into the World of Modern S/S AC/SE Razors. The Vintage SE Razors handled properly deliver superb quality shaves, equalling or perhaps surpassing those that I get with their modern rivals. However, I do find that despite their weight and size I get good Shaves from the AC/SEs , that do not require the same degree of care that is needed with Vintage SE Razors.

Thursday's ShaveClubman Classic Shave Cream Williams Mug Shave Soap Jayaruh #30 RazoRock Black Hawk Feather Professional SE CWR Clubman Pinaud AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. I used Clubman Classic Shave Cream as a pre-shave. It is an non-lathering SC, so I just applied a thin layer before face-lathering the Williams Mug Shave Soap with the Jayaruh #30 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I have been pretty preoccupied these past few weeks. Have not posted much. Anyhow this month so far I have been using my MMOC for each shave. These are great razors. A light touch and it is as tame as a little baby. Great shaves to be had.

Thur 9th Aug Omega 11137 Cyril Salter Solid Soap Ever Ready 1924 Gem S/S [ 3 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion Though shaving with one of my favourite ER Razors, I was rather disappointed with the quality of finish. The blade is comparatively fresh and did not drag so maybe my technique was way off. Must try the blade in another Razor.
