Phoenix Starling V2 razor Gem Stainless blade FS/WD Boar brush Renleigh SS (vintage stuff) Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Colorado Sage cologne
Day 2 with the Phoenix/Gem combo with the mild purple bottom plate. Another nice, comfortable shave with no complaints. Think I'll try the more aggressive green bottom plate tomorrow and see what happens. Now go enjoy your day folks.

am still not sure how to make a proper sized photo submission. Anyone who could walk me through this would be greatly appreciated. Tools for the shave as follows: Henckels Rapide, Simpsons 54, Havana AS, Halsinger Schafmilch, slightly rusty JAH blade freshly edged with vintage coticule. Cheers!

Doesn’t give me the option to resize photo and always small pix in main post. If you click on the pix, it appears normal size with decent resolution. Will try via phone for next SOTD posta

Wed 24th October Simpsons Chubby 1 / Maggards 24mm-2 band Cyril Salter Solid Soap ER 1924 Gem S/S [ 2 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion First use of a Badger Brush since my return to proper shaving a few years ago. I have used Boars, a mixed and lately Synthetics and found that they work up good lathers. Today I got the Brush a bit too wet so the lather was a bit gloopy. but still got a smooth Shave with a nice finish. Need more practice with the Brush which seemed feather light when applied to the face. As the Brush has dried out well, I shall try it out with a Soap Stick Tomorrow.

Tabac Thursday's ShaveCold Water Wash Tabac Jayaruh #217 Synthetic MMOC Gem Blue Star CS SE CWR Tabac My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the MMOC Safety Razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Phoenix Starling V2 razor Gem Stainless blade FS Silver Tip brush VeraSoapCo Peppermint SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin A/S
Used the Green open comb bottom plate today. It's supposed to be more aggressive but didn't feel a whole lot different than the Purple bottom plate. Still a comfortable easy shave and my face is happy. All the rest of the parts worked well and I'm glad for that. Now go enjoy your day folks.
