Used the Auto-Strop this morning with the modified Gem blade. It was a good shave. No issues, and the Barbasol after shave worked well, and for the cost it is superb!

Tue 6th Nov. Omega 11137 boar Lea Classic Soap Mongoose B3 Schick Proline [ 3 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion After a series of good shaves you find that whisker regrowth is minimal. This was the case today so not only was the Shave with the Mongoose smooth and comfortable, but it seemed to be over very quickly. Despite the ease of the shave, there is still enough regrowth to justify me carrying on with my Daily Shave routine.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Wash Williams Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #270 Synthetic Ever-Ready 1924 Gem Blue Star CS SE CWR PSC Caffeinated AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #270 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1924 Razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Jim, do you actually notice a difference with that caffeine after shave, or is it just hyped up?

Jim, do you actually notice a difference with that caffeine after shave, or is it just hyped up? It is a nice balm. I have only used it a few times. It has spearmint in it. It feels very nice on the face, but the caffeine thing is just hype, I think.

SOTD~This one is actually from the vault. I’m participating in a “Beards for Cancer” fundraiser so my face and dome are enduring a few weeks of neglect.

Unmentionable razor/blade Schick I2 razor/Personna blade Williams SS (modern) Vie-Long Horse Hair brush Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Clubman Classic Vanilla A/S
Got enough of the stench out of the Vie-Long to make it usable without gagging. It is a wonder at making a great Williams lather. Started with the unmentionable but something went wrong so switched to the Schick and all ended up well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Ever Ready Streamlines Gem Blue Star Ever Ready Finest Stirling Baker Street Thought I would compare a Gen1 Streamline (left) with the gen2, since I just picked one up. I really had a job to feel any real difference, both great shavers though.

WILLIAMS WEDNESDAY Razor: Star 1887 Blade: Kampfe Bros Wedge Brush:WDC6 Soap: Williams Luxury AS: British Stirling What can I say Vintage Williams knocks it out of the park. This Badger brush whipped up a load of lather. Plenty for 4 passes. I dialed the blade back some for this shave. Wonderful results.
