Super easy shave this morning, the clog proof is a giant in the field! Honestly, the Micro Matic, and the Clog proof are such great razors, that even my lack of talent and ability are made to look much better by these series of razors! If you want to watch, here is the shave video! Hope yall have an awesome week, and amazing shaves!

Thursday 8th November Zenith 506U TS - Wickham Super Smooth V2, Melon (sample) - Schick G1 - NOS Schick Plus Platinum #2 - Alum - Blue Stratos A/S - Dove Instant Hydration Cream Wonderfully close today. A new test sample from Wickhams. The soap is very soft and produced an impressive lather. I was impressed with the scent, it was intensely fruity and reminded me of the liqueur Midori. A definite buy if this scent goes to market. The G2 continues to impress. Although I find the NOS blade is not as smooth as the Proline B.

Thur 8th November Stirling Syn 26mm Stirling Baker Street PAL S/S Adjustable Schick S/S Single-Japan [ 1 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion I have not used this Razor for a while, which is due to an extra rotation being created by my purchase of AC/SE. In a nutshell I have got too many Razors. I have always rated it as one of my favourite Injectors, and as an adjustable I prefer it to the Schicks. With a fresh blade the Shave was nice and smooth with an excellent close all round finish.

Friday's ShaveCold Water Wash Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap Jayaruh #270 Synthetic Ever-Ready 1924 Gem Blue Star CS SE CWR PSC Caffeinated AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #270 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1924 Razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Fri 9th November Omega 11126 boar De Vergulde hand Supply SE V1 & V2 No 3 Plate Schick Proline Type B [ 4 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion Originally I found it difficult to get a decent Shave with the Supply, even using a No 3 Plate. I managed to buy a Version 2-3dot plate, and despite the V1 & V2 being manufactured differently, I have no problems fitting the V2 plate to to the V1 body. Today I had a really smooth Shave with an excellent close finish, in fact the Shave time was very similar to the times taken with my best performing Razors. I do not treat the Razor as an Injector, as I use Proline blades which I hand load.

Ever Ready Streamlines Gem Blue Star Ever Ready Finest Stirling Baker Street Thought I would compare a Gen1 Streamline (left) with the gen2, since I just picked one up. I really had a job to feel any real difference, both great shavers though. Great looking razors. I have been looking at these online but they seem to sell for ridiculous prices (a relative term, only compared to more common SE’s). Is the Gen 1 on the right in the photo?

Saturday 10th November Yaqi Sagrada Familia - Wickham Super Smooth V2, Toasted Coconut (sample) - Schick G1 - NOS Schick Platinum Plus #3 - Alum - Quorum A/S - Gillette Pro 3in1 Balm The shave was wonderful today. Wickhams new SS formula is a triumph in performance and scent. Unfortunately after the shave while cleaning and drying, the G1's handle crumbled away from the head in dramatic manner. I'm now on the search for a replacement handle, as I do not want to consign the head to the Schick graveyard.

See how big the two openings are on the bottom. That is the easiest way to tell.

Thanks, the gen1 is on the left. Larger cut outs in the base and break in the back for the cap spring and a couple of other minor differences, not much difference in the shave though. Yes, they can go for silly money but with patience you can be lucky.

Sat 10th November. RazoRock Syn. 24mm L`Occitane Cade Cream Schick N3 Schick S/S Twin - Japan [ 7 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Had a poor nights sleep and got up for a while before returning to bed. As a consequence shaved much later than usual, and though the Shave was smooth and comfortable, I felt that the finish quality was somewhat lacking. Probably due to my lack of concentration or I may have been comparing it to yesterdays superb shave with the Supply SE.
