Wednesday's shave Williams mug soap jayaruh 227 brush The Royalty Safety Razor Modified GEM stainless steel blade Witch hazel, aloe, vetiver skin conditioner Pinaud Clubman aftershave So the shave was very good, but the swapping of the spine of the blade left a very nasty slice on my thumb. The razor itself is not one that I have ever seen. It is very light, hollow handle and the head does not have the little blade stops. It uses the curved part of the head to hold the blade tightly, thus the need to swap spines as it needs a much wider one. It is a very nice shaver, even though I prefer a heavier razor.

Wed 21st Nov. Jayaruh No 67 MWF Mongoose B3 Schick Proline [ 5 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion My second use of this Jayaruh crafted Brush, and tried it out on MWF. Slightly dampened it quickly coaxed soap off the puck. and I was then able to build up a lovely lather own my face. The Shave was really smooth and comfortable and without effort I was rewarded with an ultra close all round finish.

Starling vs Damaskeene. The Starling is not for me. I can't say it convinced me it has a reason for being as i enjoyed it less than every vintage SE I matched it up against (and Tom White's TNNSER). Does it clamp the blade tightly, yes. Is it well balanced, yes. Does that make it a better razor than the Damaskeene or Clog-Pruf or MMOC. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to try it out but nope.

Thur 22nd Nov. Jayaruh No 67/Syn. P & B Spitfire ATT SE1 Schick Proline [ 6 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion This has to be my best Shave of the Week, a great close all round finish with the minimum of effort.I will not be seeking out any more AC/SE Razors, despite the plaudits they are getting on other forums. My Third use of the Jayaruh Brush and love the way it produces great lather so quickly with the soaps that I have used so far.
