I removed knot and made a new one from paint brush bristles . I also repaired and refinished handle. And thanks for your comments. I think he would be proud if he could see it . Pretty sure I posted in here pics of the whole process when I refinished the brush as a lot of guys were curious .

9nein9 I have been long curious about using paint brush bristles! Never knew it was possible. The physical link you have in that brush is one of the reasons I keep plowing through on this hobby, I hope to be able to pass something down one day.

9nein9 I have been long curious about using paint brush bristles! Never knew it was possible. The physical link you have in that brush is one of the reasons I keep plowing through on this hobby, I hope to be able to pass something down one day. Hardest part was loading bristles 1 by 1 into the ring before setting into handle. I never knew it was possible either but I had the will to try it and it paid off well. I first had handle red and white like original but after decided on clear and black. Don't ever be afraid to try new things, most great inventions were created this way. The satisfaction of creating my own knot cannot be put into words....the feeling every time I use this brush is incredible. Go ahead and try it. You won't be disappointed.

Sun 25th Nov. Jayaruh No67 Faena Sandalwood Alu. Hawk / Windrose Handle Schick Proline [ 6 ] Puig Quorum A/S Lotion An excellent Shave today ,which rather confirmed to me that the Hawk provides me with a better finish than the General.I think that being more aggressive it copes with my beard growth more efficiently. A great creamy lather from the little used Faena must have helped.
