Very cool looking razor. The handle sort of reminds of a Mark Cross -- but an open comb and looks like it takes a regular SE blade....is that the case? And what is the name of this beauty? It's this razor: Other photo: Very cool looking razor.

Star Cru-Steel Gem Blue Star Ever Ready 100 B&M Seville It's going to be a rainy day, guess I'll stay in and smell fantastic! That razor is beautiful. That brush though... just stunning. Tuesday's shave setup Colgate soap Van der Hagen badger brush Everready 1924 razor GEM stainless steel blade Witch hazel, aloe, vetiver skin conditioner Old Spice aftershave Awesome picture there. Its been too long! SOTD NOvember 28th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap PAL Adjustable Vintage Schick Super Stainless Wild West Brushworks "Invasion" (24mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Iced Pineapple soap and AS Great to see you around as I said over in another thread. That is also a beautifully stunning brush. Where did you get the GEM blade? Chances are it is an industrial blade and not one meant for shaving. The carbon steel blades that are meant for shaving will have 009 stamped on the spine of the blade and not GEM or PAL. If you have a CVS or RiteAid pharmacy nearby check there to see if they have any of the blade in the shaving isle, these store brand blade are carbon steel and are much better then the industrial blades. I got it from tryablade(.com) -- same place I got the Gem PTFEs. He carries: Gem stainless, Gem stainless PTFE, Gem Carbon, and Pal Blue Carbon. I'm reasonably sure they are shaving blades, but I'll check the spine....gotta say, it certainly felt like I was shaving with an industrial blade. I recently put in a mini-order for some Gem PTFE's from Connaught....it's a UK company but their US shipping is very low. It just so happens I was in a CVS last night and I did see that they sell a tuck of 10 blades...I'm planning on giving them a try too. Dump the ones you have they are junk as others said. The CVS is basically a Treet blade. One of my favorites. You will not believe how much better it is. I got it from tryablade(.com) -- same place I got the Gem PTFEs. I just ordered 100 blades from Andrew's Shave Shop on etsy....GREAT prices!! GREAT blades too! Great that you are showing up often again Sir Bird. linuxguile AKA Andrew is hi class all the way around,

Jealous of that Lime Old Spice!!!
I have the shave cream, but the "lime" scent is barely there.

Saturday's ShaveCold Water Wash Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap Jayaruh #206 Eversharp Schick G1 Personna Injector CWR Aqua Velva Musk AS Because of my big fall this week and my injured wrists, I am skipping Saturday Straights and using my new-to-me Eversharp Schick G1. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 brush. I did two passes with the Schick G1 Razor with a Personna Injector blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sat 1st December Jayaruh No67 Stirling Baker Street ER/Gem Push Button Gem S/S [ 5 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion Though I enjoy shaving with the Push Button, being quite light I never seem to get the closest of Shaves. The Quality of the finished shave is a " Good for Going to Work" Shave, and I am sure it is great Razor for those with lighter beards than mine.

Oh and your ER 1912 is gorgeous!
