I will try to catch up in a bit. Tabac Tuesday with a OC Dammy. Video even. Really enjoyed the video, although I now have lust-in-my-heart for the OC Dammy. I've been looking around since you mentioned the OC in an earlier post, and the challenge in finding them only increases the yearning. I also thoroughly agreed with your comment on evaluating a razor based on a daily shave vs a multi-day/"bearded" shave.

SOTD DEcember 11th GEM Micromatic OC GEM Industrial CS (2) Cella of Hagen Street Yaqi Ruby Red (24mm, Frigate Class) Second shave on the GEM Industrial CS blade wasn't as smooth as the first after doctoring it up. I will give it another stropping on leather before its next shave to see if that helps. Built my lather on the puck this morning and then incorporated a little more water while working it on my face, ended up with a thick, creamy, shiny, slick lather. Have a great day my friends! I've been closely watching your experiment with the Industrial from a respectable distance. Last time I tangled with it I felt like I had brought a knife to a gun fight -- a really dull knife at that. It will be interesting to see if the strop can continue to breathe shaving-life into the edge.

Schick E3 razor Schick blade Burma Shave boar brush Williams SS (modern) Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Clubman Reserve Brandy Spice A/S
Another boar-ing day and this little brush worked well. It's very small so had to go back to the soap for the second pass but, to me, that's no big deal. Also, used the E3 for the first time in a very long time and got a wonderful shave from it. Wonder why I've left it on the shelf for so long. Anyway, my face is happy and all is well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

So pleased I stuck with it. Today was definitely a shave of triple awesomeness.

Baby smooth with CS(Canadian Shick). 1 pass plus witch hazel cleanup. Tried cold water today. How did you like the cold water? I enjoy my cold water rinses, but haven't had the fortitude (especially this time of year) to try a cold water shave from beginning to end. I've heard a few people swear by them, but it seems a lot more swear at them.

Wed 12th Dec. Jayaruh No67 Williams Mug Soap Personna S/S Injector Personna S/S coated [ 1 ] Williams Aqua Velva A bit of a light bulb moment this morning. Having successfully used a Personna blade in a Supply, why not try one in the similar looking Personna S/S Injector. I had previously not had much luck in getting decent shaves with it using Schick blades , so it was residing in a drawer. I started the shave tentatively with the Supply on the sidelines in case things went wrong. After the first few strokes with a nice degree of blade feel it was apparent the Razor /Blade combo was working. In fact the Shave was very pleasing, as without any problems the quality of the finish was very good all round. What I thought was a dud is in fact a good little Razor.

I've heard a few people swear by them, but it seems a lot more swear at them. Being from Canada, and its winter, cold water is the opposite of what I want this time of year, but I gave it a try and the results were actually really good. From past experience with my hands and face, I usually get dry skin from cold water but the shave left me smooth and soft. Seems like 2 hrs after I shave its sanpapery feeling again anyway. I don't believe in pores opening and closing and all that stuff either. Just more or less wanted to experience what maybe a soldier in a trench or someone who didn't have access to nice warm water would feel like using cold water.

Thursday shave just went down. Smooth as silk. I really got to give the injector more attention.
